Ever lose a whole blog due to clicking on the X on the wrong page, I am trying to recover now and pretend it never happened. Now trying to do it without losing it again.
I have been making jewelry for over 10 years now. Mostly bead jewelry that started when a friend had a jewelry party that included making your own piece for $10 dollars. It included Swarovski Crystals which I fell in love with and try to use them in most of my pieces. I now make jewelry out of anything I can find and love to look for junk and vintage jewelry at thrift stores and yard sales and even Bass Pro Shop, below are a pair of green stone earrings and bracelet that I used fishing tackle to make. Below that is a set with Swarovski crystals and dice (made for my Bunco Group).
I started making simple bracelets and earrings and I am not trying to make some more challenging pieces. I purchased a small cheap loom and started making some woven pieces, still new to that so working on it. I use crystals, semi precious stones, glass, wood etc....
I try to make sets with earring/necklace/bracelet but I usually just make bracelet and earrings as I don't like to wear necklaces much. I make them if someone wants one. Above are a few of the bracelets I made the first couple of years doing this. The yellow flowers at the top are a stone, the name escapes me at the moment. I like making pieces that sparkle in the sunlight, the piece at the bottom has crystal beads so it does also have a bit of sparkle to it.
I try to use real pearls if I can, the freshwater pearls are very cheap when bought in bulk. The piece above with the pearl necklace and bracelet are fake, it was just made as a sample for the real piece, the bottom has real pearls. Below are some earrings that I made. These are the funnest for me because I wear earrings more then anything else I make. These are some of the first earring I made years ago.
The last earrings above were made using swarovski/pearls and pieces from a vintage necklace that I found at a yardsale, I just took the links apart and used them in various pieces of jewelry, they have a vintage look to them.
I really love using leafs, flowers and fruit beads in my pieces.
this bracelet above is the same as further above but here it has the earrings that were made to go with it.
This last set is my favorite glass set. I love the way the light shines through this aqua blue.
This is just a few of my first pieces that I made, there are many many more to come, I hope you enjoy looking, thank you
